GoCode Colorado has officially begun their 2017 competition! They began with a kick- off event on February 1st in Denver, CO for all five cities: Denver, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, Fort Collins and Durango. The challenge weekend is April 7th – 9th. Participants from around the country are welcome to participate in any of the five cities of their choice. The challenge for this year’s competition is: “Build an app that uses public data to solve a problem for a business decision- maker.” For more information, each city has a meet up to explain more about the competition, to find teammates, and to mingle with others in the area. This year’s meet up for Durango is February 16th at Durango Space (1221 Main Ave, Durango, CO) at 5:00 PM. To compete in a challenge weekend, competitors can sign up for the city of their choice at GoCode.colorado.gov where they will receive a confirmation email which includes information on the slack team and updates on the Challenge Weekend. For more information or questions, please go to GoCode.colorado.gov or contact Durango’s community organizer, Bailey Lammon, at email@example.com.
